Driller

Duties and Responsibilities

• Rig operation, including set-up

• Core/sample recovery

• Safety and maintenance checks; Service and maintenance of drill rig and auxiliary equipment

• Travel to and from assigned job locations

• Observe all safety and other requirements as outlined by the Company

The Driller is responsible for his rig and crew, and must fully understand the terms of the drilling program, the equipment he is assigned to, and all safety and other requirements for his location and the Company. The Driller communicates with the Field Foreman and/or Operations Manager, assists with training of driller?s helpers, and is responsible for safety and maintenance of the equipment.

Driller's Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist driller with safety checks, maintenance of drill rig and auxiliary equipment, drill operation (including set up), and core/sample recovery efforts

• Log core samples, and prepare shift reports

• Mix drilling fluids

• Travel to and from assigned job locations

• Observe all safety and other requirements as outlined by the Company

• Other jobs as assigned

The Driller?s Helper assists the Driller with all aspects of the drilling program (including vehicle maintenance), and is responsible for compliance with all safety and other requirements of the Company and the Client.

Click here to download the file. A dialog box should appear asking you what you want to do with the file. Choose ” Save the file to a disk “. Another dialog box should appear prompting you for the folder and the file name of the download. You may keep the default values, or choose another folder if you like. The important thing is to remember where the file goes (e.g. C:\My Documents\Some Folder\some_file.ext) and what the name of it is. Once the download is complete you will need to run the file. One method is to go to the Windows Start Button, choose Run, type in the full path or use the Browse Button to navigate to the file using Windows Explorer. Alternatively, you could open up Windows Explorer, navigate to the file and double-click to execute it.

Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, you can view and print the job application in your Browser simply by clicking on the link. If you would like download a copy to your hard drive, right click on the link, choose “Save as…” and follow a procedure similar to downloading a file as described above.
